This is a Premier format Swiss style tournament.

Format Overview

The primary format of Star Wars: Unlimited, Premier is a constructed format that truly embodies the “unlimited” nature of the game by allowing you to build a deck using any of the cards in your collection. This means that you’ll be able to truly express yourself by crafting a deck that perfectly fits your preferred playstyle and strategies.

The Premier format operates under the following rules:

Your deck must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 50-card draw deck. You can also have a sideboard of up to 10 non-leader, non-base cards.  

Your draw deck cannot include more than three copies of any one card.  

In official Organized Play events, the winner of a Premier match is determined by best-of-three games in a 55-minute round.

Grognard Games Batavia invites you to join our new Warhammer 40k Narrative League, where the fate of the battlefield is in your hands. Engage in a dynamic narrative experience, where your decisions shape the unfolding story.

While we recommend 1000 points for your army size, feel free to play with any size army that suits your preference. Each week, immerse yourself in our specially designed Narrative table, adorned with terrain from Larry's personal collection, adding depth to your battles.

Every Monday, a new narrative mission awaits, offering players the chance to earn valuable league points. However, participation in the narrative mission is optional, as players are free to engage in pick-up games if they prefer.

Points are awarded as follows:

- Play a game (1 point per week).

- Face off against a new opponent (1 point for each new opponent).

- Expand your forces with a new unit (1 point for each unit, up to 10 points for the league).

- Add color to your army by painting a unit (1 point for each unit, up to 10 points for the league).

- Dive into the Narrative (1 point per week).

As the league draws to a close, the fifth and final week will feature an optional Apocalypse game. Only league participants are eligible to join this epic showdown. Keep an eye out for the sign-up sheet as we approach the climax of our campaign.

Customers will choose 4 draft or play boosters and are not allowed to choose two from the same set. The only play booster being Murders at Karlov Manor for now. 

We will allow 55 minutes for draft and deck building then followed by 3 rounds of 50 minutes swiss. 

Come in and join our Monthly Commander League here at Grognard Games Batavia! We create a series of objectives each week that you can complete to earn points in the league. After 4 weeks prizes will be awarded to those who signed up and earned points. This is meant to be fun and casual so no need to bring in your cEDH deck!
